Willie Walsh, Chief Executive of British Airways, leaves the Department of Transport after holding talks with the Transport Secretary Philip Hammond in a bid to avert a proposed strike by BA cabin crew in London, England.
BA cabin crew are planning four five-day strikes, the first of which is due to begin tomorrow, in a protest over changes to working conditions. British Airways are also questioning the legality of the BA cabin crew members by their union Unite and are seeking a High Court injunction to prevent the industrial action.
